Sustainability continues to be in the middle of our hand surrounded by our Five Finger Pillars of strategy, a cause that is essential to our corporate responsibility and ongoing business activities.

In the fashion industry, approximately 90% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions come from Scope 3 activities, which encompass the entire supply chain from raw materials to product disposal.

CSRD and DPP, Meeting Client
and Regulatory Demands

As a manufacturer for brands and retailers NBC is adapting to the increasing sustainability expectations. to comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Digital Product Passport (DPP) regulations, our brands and retailers must report their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and provide product-specific environmental data.

An automated Lifecycle Assessment (LCA), enables us to:

Calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions using detailed information from suppliers or using existing data, only requiring product details such as materials specifications and supplier locations.
Start compliance immediately by generating and delivering the product-level impacts that our clients need for CSRD and DPP reporting.
Reporting impact data. Our LCA software allows us to quickly provide data to meet the new regulatory requirements, without needing additional data collection.

Reducing Emissions

Beyond compliance, NBC will model alternative scenarios for emission reduction. This capability allows us to showcase our sustainability efforts to our existing clients, and it also helps us to attract new clients by demonstrating our strong commitment to reducing environmental impacts.

Traceability Tools for Supplier Data
Collection and Enhanced Transparency

While tools like Genisis and tex.tracer will help us gather ESG data from the supply chain, with specialized software we have started calculating impacts with our current data. In the future, it’s likely that brands and retailers will push responsibility for data collection onto the supply chain. Clients may require us to ensure that suppliers enter relevant ESG data into platforms like Genisis and tex.tracer, which will subsequently improve the transparency and accuracy of. our impact reports. NBC can assist its clients by requesting input from suppliers to support this process, further strengthening relationships with both clients and suppliers
